2020 Kia Soul vs 2020 Kia Soul EV

Serving Wesley Chapel FL

Kia Motors began manufacturing its popular Kia Soul model in 2008, for sale during the 2009 model year. The 2020 Kia Soul underwent a complete redesign and started the third-generation Kia Soul. The 2020 Kia Soul and the 2020 Kia Soul EV are, obviously, remarkably similar. However, the difference between these models is evident in their names alone. The Kia Soul offers gas-powered engine options, and the Kia Soul EV is an all-electric variant of the Kia Soul. US News ranks the 2020 Kia Soul number one in its class.

Performance

The all-new 2020 Kia Soul offers two gas-powered engine options. The base engine is a modest 147 horsepower four-cylinder engine. The higher trim levels will provide the option of a four-cylinder turbo engine that makes up to 201 horsepower. Coincidentally, the 2020 Kia Soul EV features an all-electric motor that also creates up to 201 horsepower. Any of these options get the job done, but the turbo and EV powertrains provide exciting acceleration. The base engine for the 2020 Kia Soul averages right around 27 city and 33 highway miles per gallon, which is pretty average for its class. For perspective, the Mazda CX-3 averages about 29 city and 34 highway miles per gallon. The all-electric motor of the 2020 Kia Soul EV has an impressive range of about 243 miles, which is one of the highest totals of any all-electric vehicle.

Appearance

The Kia Soul has a unique box-like design that has been extremely popular, particularly amongst young adults. The all-new 2020 Kia Soul offers some cosmetic changes, mainly to the front end. The interior of the Kia Soul is arguably the model’s best quality. The high-end interior is more than satisfactory for the money. There is plenty of cargo space, and the passenger space is arguably the best in its class.

Features

The standard infotainment system in the 2020 Kia Soul is relatively average. It includes a 7-inch touchscreen with Apple and Android compatibility and BlueTooth. An upgraded infotainment system with a 10.25-inch touchscreen and premium sound is also available along with a sunroof, and a wireless charging system. The only piece of standard safety technology that comes with the 2020 Kia Soul and Soul EV is a rearview camera. These Kia vehicles also offer available pedestrian detection, emergency automated braking, adaptive cruise control, driver condition detections/warnings, and more.

The Kia Soul and Kia Soul EV are two of the most popular and reliable models in their class. To test drive one, or get additional information on these models, meet with us at Fuccillo Kia of Wesley Chapel in Wesley Chapel, Florida.
