2024 Kia EV9 Preview | Wesley Chapel, FL

If you love the design and efficiency of the Kia EV6 but need a vehicle that’s a little bigger, get excited for the upcoming, all-new 2024 Kia EV9. This all-electric SUV is coming soon to Kia of Wesley Chapel and has a plethora of advanced features wrapped in a distinct exterior. It’s yet another example of why it’s so satisfying to go electric with Kia.

The 2024 Kia EV9 is expected to make its full debut in late 2023 and will become available on our lot in early 2024. Full trim details and pricing will be announced in the future.

Performance

The new Kia EV9 is expected to offer two powertrains — each providing you with extensive range and impressive performance. The first is the standard 76.1 kWh battery and 160 kW motor that generate 250 miles of all-electric range (AER).[1] However, the available 99.8 kWh battery provides the best performance with an estimated 300 miles of AER and a whopping 516 lb-ft of torque.[1]

Charging the new EV9 is simple. In fact, when you use a DC Fast Charger, you can take the vehicle’s battery from 10% to 80% in approximately 24 minutes. There are also over 40,000 public Level 2 charging stations across the country so you can go exploring in the EV9 without worrying about losing power.

Capability

In addition to its impressive range, the 2024 EV9 also offers powerful capabilities. The SUV’s electric motor can boost you forward with near-instantaneous acceleration and up to 379 horsepower. That amounts to a maximum towing capacity of 5,000 pounds, which is the same as the gas-powered 2023 Telluride.

If off-roading is in the cards, the Kia EV9 has 7.8 inches of ground clearance to help you tackle all kinds of terrain. There’s also the Onboard Power Generator, which can serve as a power source for a variety of items like power tools and camping appliances.

Style

On the outside, the EV9 has a modern, boxy shape and a wide stance that embodies Kia’s overall design philosophy. The SUV measures 197.4 inches long, which is slightly larger than the Telluride, but it is comparable in height. Exterior elements that help the Kia EV9 stand out include 19- to 21-inch wheels with multiple designs and LED lighting from front to back. While specific color options have yet to be announced, Kia promises that the vehicle will be available in a variety of gorgeous matte or gloss paints.

Interior

Described as something of a futuristic sanctuary, the EV9’s seven-passenger cabin showcases the new “Ten Must-Have Items” design philosophy from Kia. This approach encapsulates the colors, materials, and finishes that you’ll find in the SUV to create an alluring interior that everyone will appreciate. For example, to match its eco-friendly performance, the cabin features various fabrics and carpets made from partially recycled materials, BTX-free trimming, and non-leather polyurethane seating surfaces.

The technology within the EV9 was built to help you stay connected on the go. The Digital Cockpit has an expansive digital instrument cluster sitting behind the steering wheel that connects with the infotainment screen in the center dash. Be sure to check out the “frequently used Quick Controls” setting that lets you swipe for easy access to your favorite infotainment features and systems.

But that’s not all that the new EV9 offers with regard to tech. Standard Digital Key lets you use your Apple or Samsung device, as well as NFC-enable smart cards, to lock or unlock the vehicle and drive. The digital keys can also be shared via text message with friends and family for added convenience.

Safety

As you might expect, the 2024 EV9 is set to offer a ton of Kia’s most advanced safety systems. This includes go-to features like Lane Keeping Assist, Intelligent Speed Limit Assist, High Beam Assist, Safe Exit Assist, Safe Exit Warning, and Smart Cruise Control with Stop & Go.

The SUV will also be equipped with enhanced versions of Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist as well as new systems like Advanced Highway Driving Assist and Lane Following Assist 2.
