2023 Kia Forte in Wesley Chapel, FL

Last year, the Forte arrived with a whole new design identity. The super stylish sedan now features a more modern look, turbocharged trims, and a long list of standard technology systems.

The 2023 Kia Forte is available at five trim levels: LX, LXS, GT-Line, GT, and GT Manual.

Exterior Design

The exterior of the 2023 Forte is incredibly striking thanks to angular lines and a dynamic palette of colors to choose from. Depending on the trim you choose, you could paint your new Forte in hues like Currant Red, Snow White Pearl, Deep Sea Blue, the unique Fire Orange, and more!

If you opt for the Forte GT-Line, GT, or GT Manual, you’ll find appealing exterior design elements from front to back. This includes a rear spoiler, Gloss Black (and heated) side view mirrors, LED daytime running lights, LED fog lights, and large wheels. But the GT and GT Manual exclusively come with dual exhaust tips and LED headlights, while the GT Manual has a standard sunroof.

When it comes to function, a Smart Trunk™ is standard on GT-Line models and above, making it easy to load and unload items in the back of the Forte. All models come with High Beam Assist and Auto Headlight Control for added convenience.

Efficient Engines

The Forte LX, LXS, and GT-Line models have a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine under the hood that works with an Intelligent Variable Transmission for efficient shifting. With this setup, you can expect to reach up to 147 horsepower and get as much as 41 mpg on the highway.[1]

If you want the ideal blend of power and efficiency, the Forte GT and GT Manual trims are equipped with a turbocharged 1.6-liter four-cylinder engine. You’ll get to choose between a seven-speed Dual Clutch Automatic Transmission (DCT) or a six-speed manual. Both models, however, can reach up to 201 horsepower. The Forte GT, with the DCT, gets up to 35 mpg on the highway while the GT Manual still gets a respectable 31 mpg on the highway.[1]

Modern Interior

Inside, the new Kia Forte is comfortable and convenient. Depending on the trim level you choose, you could find soft black or gray woven cloth, a combination of cloth and SynTex (synthetic leather) with accent stitching, or full SynTex with red accent stitching. Standard convenience features include a day/night rearview mirror for improved visibility, steering-wheel-mounted controls, and a Drive Mode Select system with three modes (Normal, Sport, or Smart).

The Forte GT-Line and GT trims let you add even more upscale features like LED interior lighting, illuminated sun visor mirrors, Sport seats, a 10-way power-adjustable driver’s seat, heated front seats, ventilated front seats, dual-zone automatic climate control, a leather-wrapped steering wheel (with paddle shifters), alloy sport pedals, and a leather-wrapped gear shift knob.

Advanced Technology

You’ll stay connected no matter where you’re headed in the all-new 2023 Kia Forte. Right from the start, a standard 8-inch touch-screen display beautifully showcases entertainment and vehicle information as well as your top smartphone apps via Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™. You can also connect your devices via Bluetooth® or the USB port in the front console.

A larger 10.25-inch touch-screen display and a front USB charging port are standard on GT-Line models and above. But when you choose the 2023 Kia Forte GT or Forte GT Manual, you’ll get even more smart tech like a wireless phone charger, and a rear USB charging port. The top GT Manual trim, however, is the only Forte to come with a standard Harman Kardon® premium audio system with eight speakers.

Smart Safety

For 2023, the extra-cost GT Technology Package has been removed. Instead, the safety features included in that package — like Navigation-based Smart Cruise Control and Highway Driving Assist — have been absorbed into the GT model.

All trims come with a long list of standard systems. This includes Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist with Pedestrian Detection, Driver Attention Warning, Lane Keeping Assist, Lane Following Assist, a Rear View Monitor with Dynamic Parking Guidance, and Rear Occupant Alert. Other optional safety features are available in the form of Safe Exit Warning, Rear Cross-Traffic Collision Warning, Blind-Spot Collision-Avoidance Assist, and more.
