2023 Kia Sportage in Wesley Chapel, FL
The all-new 2023 Kia Sportage is here, and it arrives with a long list of exciting updates! From the adventurous X-Line and X-Pro trims to a completely redesigned look, here’s everything you need to know about the new Kia Sportage.
The 2023 Kia Sportage is available at seven trim levels: LX, EX, X-Line AWD, SX, SX Prestige, Sportage X-Pro, and Sportage X-Pro Prestige.
For 2023, the Sportage takes on Kia’s new design philosophy of “Opposites United.” What this means is that the SUV’s appearance blends ruggedness with a sophistication that makes for a carefully crafted vehicle. That bold design is very apparent with the new X-Line and X-Pro models, which add features like gloss black side mirrors, raised roof rack rails, LED lights, and 17- or 19-inch wheels. Both models can be painted in the exclusive Jungle Green color while the top X-Pro trims pair that body color with an Ebony Black floating roof.
If you choose the Sportage EX trim and above, you’ll find convenient exterior features like heated and power-adjustable side-view mirrors with LED turn signals as well as the Smart Welcome System that illuminates the door pockets for ease of use when it’s dark out.
Every 2023 Kia Sportage has the same 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine under its hood that’s paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission. Front-wheel drive is standard on all trims except the Sportage X-Pro and Sportage X-Pro Prestige, which come with standard All-Wheel Drive and multi-terrain drive modes. These AWD Sportage models also offer a 1.5-inch increase in ground clearance as well as all-terrain tires for improved performance. When it comes to efficiency, the FWD models can get up to 32 mpg on the highway while AWD models get up to 28 mpg on the highway.
The 2023 Sportage is now 7.1 inches longer and has a 3.4-inch wider wheelbase. This results in class-leading rear legroom of 41.3 inches. The Sportage also has best-in-class rear cargo capacity with 39.6 cubic feet of space and a dual-level cargo floor for added storage.
The five-seater SUV offers a host of upscale amenities in its cabin, too. The second trim, EX, immediately gives you a 10-way driver’s seat with two-way power lumbar support, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, and heated front seats. Ventilated seats are standard on the Sportage Prestige models, as is an eight-way power front passenger’s seat. Across the lineup, you’ll get to choose from woven cloth and a variety of SynTex synthetic leather seat options. Additional premium available features include LED interior lighting, remote start, satin matte door handles, dual-zone auto climate control, and a Driver’s Seat Memory System.
One of the most exciting developments for the all-new Kia Sportage is its technology offerings. The interior can be filled with nearly 25 inches of screens up front thanks to the expansive 12.2-inch instrument display and the available 12.3-inch touch-screen display with navigation and Kia Connect.
All models come with advanced features like Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™ smartphone connectivity, Bluetooth® wireless tech, a media USB input, and a front USB-C charging port. As you move through the lineup, you’ll find additional convenient technology like a wireless phone charger, rear USB-C charge ports, SiriusXM® satellite radio, and a Harman Kardon® premium surround sound audio system with HALOsonic® technology.
There’s no shortage of advanced driver-assist systems on the 2023 Sportage. At the base LX trim, you’ll find a host of smart tech like Driver Attention Warning, LED headlights with High Beam Assist, Lane Following Assist, Lane Keeping Assist, Forward Collision Avoidance with Pedestrian and Cyclist Detection, Rear Occupant Alert, Rear View Monitor, and Reverse Parking Distance Warning.
Additional safety technology that is added to other trims of the new Kia Sportage includes smart systems like Highway Driving Assist, Navigation-based Smart Cruise Control with Stop & Go, Blind-Spot Collision-Avoidance Assist-Parallel Exit, Blind-Spot View Monitor, Rear Cross-Traffic Collision Avoidance Assist, Safe Exit Warning, Surround View Monitor with 3D View, and more!
