The all-new 2022 Kia Sorento Plug-In Hybrid (PHEV) was introduced not too long ago and it is an exciting addition to the Kia lineup. The efficient vehicle is part of the Kia’s “Plan S” electrification strategy of creating 11 EVs by 2026 and expanding its mobility solutions. Along with exciting details about the SUV, pricing for the Sorento PHEV was also recently announced.

“The Sorento PHEV’s rare combination of drivability, efficiency and spaciousness will make it a compelling choice for our customers,” said Sean Yoon, president & CEO of Kia North America and Kia America. “We’re proud to have it join the popular Sorento model range while also playing a pivotal role in the launch of Kia’s Plan S electrification strategy.”

The 2022 Sorento PHEV will be available at two trim levels: SX and SX Prestige. Both models come with a turbocharged 1.6-liter engine that is paired with a Full Parallel Hybrid System to offer an EPA-estimated 35 MPG in the city, 33 MPG on the highway, and 79 MPGe.

Most of the differences between the two SUVs come in the form of convenience. For example, the SX Prestige model has power-folding outside mirrors, a 12-speaker Bose® premium audio system, a larger 12.3-inch driver information display (compared to the SX’s 4.2-inch screen), an auto-dimming rearview mirror, and more.,

The 2022 Sorento PHEV SX starts at $44,990 while the 2022 Sorento PHEV SX Prestige starts at $47,890. To learn more about this SUV and see the differences between the two trims, contact our team at Kia of Wesley Chapel in Florida.
